The Mighty Realm of Dominik Dziura

From Hanover in the heart of Germany comes this soft-spoken, massively talented gentleman, who no doubt will be your friend in a matter of minutes. The name is Dominik Dziura, architect by trade and currently a swiftly rising senior 3D artist at Brick’s Budapest studio, since joining us about a year ago. After completing a couple archviz courses, topped off with four successful weeks at our Brick Academy, he finally decided that this is the path he was meant for!
At first glance, you’d think that this artist has been creating these impressive digital images for a long time. Could have fooled us… But he’ll be the first to admit that this is still fairly new ground for him, but one he loves and continues to explore in depth. He was hardly familiar with 3ds Max before attending the Academy, and got by with SketchUp and Twinmotion during his architect days.
Free to dream and conjure up otherworldly concepts, while composing a wide range of mystical, atmospheric visuals, seems to be the core of Dominik’s creative realm. It is these interesting ideas and concepts that he is finding ways to translate in his daytime work as well, confidently constructing archviz images with a dash of his personal touch.
“At a certain point, in order to grow both as an artist and as an individual, I had to immerse myself in a community
of like-minded, passionate creators.”
Wasting no time on mediocrity, his first participation in an online challenge, D2’s “Old Gods” theme, surrounded by an army of great talent from around the world, he introduced himself by winning first place!
Not long after, in a Brick in-house competition his modern, 3D adaptation of Michael Ancher’s 1896 oil painting “The Drowned Fisherman” gained a lot of appreciation as well, earning him another win and a stretched canvas print of his beautiful image.

The humble man behind this digital facade also happens to be a veteran martial artist with 25 years under his belt, mastering the Vietnamese art of Vovinam, while also being involved in his family’s long time breeding of beautiful Bernese Mountain dogs.
Dreaming of directing movies in his younger days, it will be very interesting to see the wonders his imagination will contribute, once he decides to turn his attention to animation as well!
Dominik continues his journey from the somewhat less inspiring architect’s desk, deeper into the realm of creating emotions, awe, wonder and smiles through his truly brilliant visual language. Covering a wide landscape of ideas, from archviz to androids, aliens or fantasy, we’re treated to a rich palette of subjects to marvel at.

Until he presents his first, undoubtedly exciting piece of animation in the future, for now, we’ll have to settle for all the great stills he shares with us, while constantly improving his skills and continuing to evolve in his art!
We’re lucky to have you onboard Dominik, looking forward to more of your breathtaking future creations!
